Redundancy on reference letter
Hi all,
First time on the forum - I have a quick question to ask.
Unfortunately I was recently made redundant from my position as an M&A Associate at an investment bank in London, UK. Devastated by the news, but can't mope around forever and need to get back in the game fast (I heard that more than 6 months out, and it becomes very difficult).
Quick question - on the reference letter / background check process, will my previous employer divulge that I lost my job because of redundancy? Or will they remain factual (i.e. dates, positions, salary, location, etc.)?
Opinions are split, so I thought I would ask the experts.
Many thanks!
