Sophmore in College
Hi,
I'm a sophomore who recently got into (undergrad) Haas school of business @UC Berkeley and I'm interested in I-Banking. I have an amateur understanding of what I-banking is all about, and I've heard that it is extremely difficult to break into. In fact someone told me that I should be joining clubs, doing case competitions, and basically working hard to get into the business right now. He said even freshman are preparing by doing case comps and what not. Seems like I should be working my butt off right now instead of enjoying my college years.
What do you guys recommend if I seriously want to get into the I-Banking Business? What would really give me the edge in interviews and getting offers? What should I be doing now?
I also want to learn about I-banking so are there any books I should read or things I should do daily like read the wall street journal? Any bit of information will help, however minute and insignificant. Thanks!
