List of Spring week/Insight programmes
I've tried searching the forum, but couldn't find any list of spring programmes offered. If I've overlooked something, please post a link and have me excused.
Even if it in some cases is obvious that a company has a programme, it would be useful to gather them all in one place, including links so little monkeys don't have to use time tracking them all down. I don't know if you get this through your university or something in the US, but here in Europe it takes a little effort;)
I've done some research and found spring programmes at the following banks:
Morgan Stanley - http://www.morganstanley.com/about/careers/recrui…
Goldman Sachs - http://www2.goldmansachs.com/careers/begin/unique…
JP Morgan - http://eurocareers.jpmorgan.com/content/content_4…
UBS - http://www.ubs.com/1/e/career_candidates/graduate…
Credit Suisse - http://campusrecruiting.credit-suisse.com/en/Euro…
RBS - http://ci.rbs.com/GMGraduates/programmes/easter-insight/index.html
Barclay's - http://www.campusrecruitment-tradingfloor.co.uk/B…
It would also be interesting to hear about any experiences made around the interview process, mainly if you got a lot of technical questions, and what you felt you needed to know.
Your list, as far as Europe programmes are concerned, is missing BNP Paribas, Citigroup, Deutsche Bank and Nomura. All major banks have Europe spring insight/programmes.
Interview process (for the London spring insights/programmes), after submitting online apps as far as I remember. BarCap / Barclays Wealth - one 30 minute phone interview after SHL online numerical and verbal tests. Interview was completely competency based.
BNP Paribas - CV and essay with their predetermined topic
Citigroup - online SHL numerical test
Credit Suisse - PSL numerical and verbal tests, 10 minute competency based phone interview
Deutsche Bank - PSL numerical test, 30 minute interview in their london office. Interview could be competency based or technical depending on who you interview with.
Goldman Sachs (Securities) - 30 minute interview in their london office. Interview could be competency based or technical depending on who you interview with.
Goldman Sachs (IBD) - selected based on cover letter and CV only. (no interviews)
Goldman Sachs (Operations/Finance) - same as IBD
JPMorgan - 30 minute phone interview
Morgan Stanley (moved to september this year) - 30 minute phone interview
I don't know / can't remembr what it was for the following banks; UBS, Nomura, RBS,
The process changes regularly though. Last year, for GS Securities, there were numerical and verbal tests, as well as 2 rounds of interviews. This year was no tests and just one round of interviews.
RBS - Numerical, Assessment center (One interview, verbal and numerical)
There's also a Merrill Lynch Spring Program. You have to finish in the Top 15 (maybe 20, i cant remember) at the ML EMEA Investment challenge to get in.
