Student Athelte Advice

Could anyone offer advice for a student athlete on the D1 level (at Temple University) that would like to eventually Intern on Wall Street? I've been made aware that coming from a non-ivy/not prestigious school really plays against me, but does being a student athlete open up my opportunities more?

Well, assuming that's your real name please change it for your own good. No need to ruin your anonymity.

Athletes are looked upon very favorably. I was an NCAA athlete and finance is full of ex-athletes. If you can keep a solid GPA you should be in a great spot.

Also, your school being in a major metro area will help a lot with part time internships and networking. Yeah, it'd be better if you were at an Ivy, but you should end up just fine if you put the effort in where you are.
