Why hasn't Mark Klein MD been banned?
Seriously, this guy must be the biggest loser on the planet. He's a doctor in his sixties with serious insecurity issues - he insults everyone on this board for no reason and enjoys continuously putting others down. It's not like he's an MD at KKR or anything - just some doctor who is retired and clearly has no friends/wife/social life.
He has absolutely zero insight into recruiting, day-to-day job issues or other basic issues in finance. Patrick, I don't know why you put up with his crap. We've banned other idiotic users in the past haven't we? Can we get rid of this sociopath once and for all?
P.S. And why has no one brought this up before - are we too afraid to isolate an unknown member on an anonymous discussion forum?
LOL I clicked the link in his sig like a month ago. I really don't think the poster is actually Mark Klein. If it is... I think it's hilarious that a 67 year old physician would waste his time on a banking forum (which is why I doubt it).
I think most people can simply ignore his comments. It's really not hard to skip down to the next post. Also, don't quote me on this, but I think he has some good advice and insight every now and again, even he is an asshole about it. Small potatoes, VCmonkey

his retarded posts are occasionally funny
He actually makes good points at times. He told some kid about the importance of networking in some thread I read today in a humorous way.
"There is only one bottom line -- how much money you make."
I was thinking about this yesterday as well. Im assuming if we did ban him hed just make up a new account under a new name which would be even worse because now we can just skip his useless comments (annoying but whatever) but if he had a new name we wouldnt know if its a credible source or not. my 2 cents

Not that I have any opinion on the matter, but to clarify - the REAL Mark Klein, MD is a doctor who posts with hyperfrequency on the Dealbook comments. The MK, MD on this board is just a kid, guessing undergrad, that comes in to get everyone riled up. I personally think he's got a decent sense of humor, even if it does come at the expense of others.
fake mark klein is hilarious (y does a disproportionate % of this board think hes the real deal - i think in one post he admitted as much). honestly if u cant take his sarcasm and witty repartee u shouldnt be on the internet. further, his insight, while abrasive is usually spot on. i cant believe hes being targeted before genuine idiots like untitled123 and ChicagoRules.
Agreed, he's actually funny and lightens the mood versus the sea of college kids on the board who beat off to Dealmaker.
The crap that he says is either what I want to say or stuff I would say if there was no chance the bank can tarc emy messages.
But to clarify, I think the real Mark Klein is a douche. And I think I remember him posting in DealBook article saying he was an MD in psychology or something, so not even a real doctor.
Well, in this case I think the definition of "maturity" is the ability to restrain yourself from vomiting the first thing that crosses your mind.
He's pretty damn funny actually. I also don't see how so many of you actually think it's the real MK MD. I would think a bunch of prospect bankers would be smart enough to realize it's a joke.
If you work in banking for more than a few months, you'll realize a high GPA, IQ, and hard work ethic are not all synonomous with common sense (or an accompanying sense of humor).
