BlackRock Private Equity Partners (PEP) - Culture, Interview et al.

Any insights on BR PEP on this forum? From what I've uncovered so far, they do a decent amount (+50% of time for Associates) of co-investments and are obviously one of the biggest names in AM.
They do a modelling test and a case study during interviews, can anybode share their experience? Besides that, I would would be especially interested in team culture, hours/ work-life and their international set-up (opportunities to work in different offices etc.).

Thanks

I know this is an old post, but thought I'd chime in. The group manages ~$30bn across commingled funds and separate accounts. Anecdotally, heard from a friend that summered with the team that it spends a majority of its time evaluating co-investments. These can range in size but generally speaking include investments of $20m+ for stakes of 5%+. Occasionally, the group takes significant minority stakes and takes a Board seat. Invests globally, though portfolio is ~60-70% weighted towards North America. I think the focus is on small-to-midsize buyouts, though they also look at late-stage growth and mega buyouts.

In terms of the group dynamics, heard they're a great group to work with and really have a culture that encourages juniors to step up and take as much responsibility as they feel comfortable with. The main office for the group is in Princeton (I think this also contributes to the relatively easy going nature of the group). Other offices are in Switzerland, the U.K., and Hong Kong.

Not sure about what pay looks like, though I expect less than equivalent roles in IBD / at GPs...if anyone can chime in on what FoF / Co-investment pay looks like (not only at the junior levels, but up to the senior levels as well), that would be much appreciated. All I've found so far is the M&I article..
