Career Resources
the few that come to mind are
Oaktree Capital Gores Group Platinum Equity Riordan, Lewis, Haden Equity Partners Kayne Anderson, they have a big office in LA
Honestly, PE in LA is very small compared to NYC. Most LA PE focus on the smaller end of the mid-market. Oaktree, Gores, and Kayne are the three biggest in LA i think. If you really want to work in PE, i would reccmend going to NYC.
What about Carlyle?
the firms you listed have started recruiting?
and how do you leave off the likes of leonard green and freeman spogli? leonard green is a $5b fund and is bigger than gores and kayne. i didnt ask what pe firms existed. i asked which firms have started recruiting
Most all of the LA firms have started and most are done recruiting. Ares, Leonard Green, Gores, Aurora, Oaktree have all started or are finished. Platinum and Freeman Splogli are the only large LA firms one that I believe have not started their process.
thanks for the info. do you have a sense or idea about the smaller funds in la?

hmm, some good info here. thanks a lot. anyone know anything about aurora resurgence? also, interested in freeman spogli, but it seems like their situation is still unclear as of now.
San Fran is bigger than LA in PE, isn't it? HF is in SF, but is finished recruiting.
what's this have to do with the main post?
Anyways SF has most of the mega funds and yes as you mentioned HF. As well as: Silver Lake, Elevation, Francisco, Genstar, FFL, Weston, GA, TA, Calera, Vector, Goldman PIA, etc.
More Opps there for sure.
