PE analyst salaries?
Thinking about applying to FT PE analyst roles as well as banking.
Any idea how what salary they pay? What's the avg or range for entry level analyst positions? How’s it vary from bigger to more boutique sized firms?

Same here. Was asked the other day what my comp expectations for a FT PE role were and I was unsure what to say. Can anyone shed any light on comp?
90 base + 50% bonus, MM in NYC as AN1
Analyst 1: 100k base + 25-50% bonus with each deal closed, 200 bps of carry on each deal plus co invest. I am in a Tier 3 city at a LMM shop
that’s a good deal
Y’all hiring? This has to be better than almost every other shop, right?
Is this a midwestern city?
Southeast
Pls pm me
Pls PM me!
Would you be open to PMing me? Currently looking at PE in the southeast

MF/UMM analyst comp sits at 230-250k first year from what I’ve heard unsure about breakdown
Name some funds that have this please. Hard to believe tbh so a few names would help
Bain Cap, Blackstone
This is market for top firms’ analyst programs
It’s lower—think 250 for second year and 220 for first year is more in line (ie in line with non-CVP EBs)
Source: Received offers from multiple MF PE
Did you do BB/EB junior year and then recruit FT for MFPE?
Signed with MM PE fund in NYC and in this range too for A1
Can you PM me? Would love to know more if possible?
Isnt Vista like 150k all in for A1?
No. Why spread misinformation?
Only sharing what I had heard from Vista people for analyst salaries in Austin. Any ideas in the real numbers then?
Vista is 200k for AN1.
This would make sense since Associate at Vista is 300k (base + bonus) plus an additional ~50k in phantom carry. If Associate 1 is 350k don't see why Analyst 1 wouldn't be around the 200k mark
Salty weirdos love slandering Vista on WSO. Love the "inaccurate" MS for someone who actually works there
210k - I'm an incoming analyst
Vista is known to pay terribly in comparison to competitors, not sure the actual numbers
Anyone have insight for KKR?

Ares just raised for Analyst 1’s. Incoming FT analysts just signed with $120 base + $120 bonus + $30 signing + $75 A2A ($270 TC w/o A2A, $345 TC w/ A2A) at end of first year if you stay on as an associate. Source: I work at Ares
Wow if this is true this is truly top of street
.
When you say there’s an A2A bonus one can get in their first year, see you implying that Ares’ analyst program is only 1 year, and after a year you become an Associate?
Is this program for those immediately out of undergrad?
The PE analyst program is two years, but the A2A promotion is given sometime in your first year (because of accelerated on-cycle) and the bonus is paid out at the end of your first year even though you don’t start as an associate until after you second year
Is there anywhere that pays more than this out of college?
Outside of PE, definitely. Within industry, no.
.
How does it work to lateral from a analyst in IB to PE analyst? Been on the desk for a few months and have been wondering if these opportunities are common.
Got ~$200k my first year in growth equity in a T2 city if helpful
Can you PM me? I’m considering recruiting for FT PE roles specifically in T2 cities.
Can you pm me too? Looking to recruit to growth equity
Gotta drop the name of this one bro or similar funds lmao
Pls PM me!
You mind privately sharing the firm?
Just got an offer at a MM firm ($1-2b AUM) in SF. $90k + $50k bonus. Also $125k worth of possible transaction bonus as funds are exited.
Signed offer at MM in SF. $100k base + $100k target bonus
mind pming me the firm?
Can you PM me your firm?
Pls PM me!
