Better comp S&T or buyside PM?

I'm currently in FI S&T on the sales side. Wondering. Who has higher TC, the salesman selling the bonds or the PM/buyside trader buying them? I'd assume if you're trading at a hedge fund/ any other fast money your comp is greater but what about money managers/insurance? Who has better long term career trajectory? Any input?
