Commodity Recruiters

Monkeys, thought I'd throw this one out to the pen.

I am in the physical commodities trade currently and have been getting the itch for a new post. Ironically, a few buy-side funds and international commodity recruiters have reached out to contact me in the last couple weeks and I have taken a couple phone calls. For those of you in the business and/or have gone through the process, what are your opinions of some of the commodity recruiters in the space? Who is reputable?

This business is smaller than people think, I'm sure some of you have some opinions, tips, or hilarious war stories to share.

Boy was that helpful.

There are a number of reputable firms that deal in the commodities recruitment space - it depends on what level you're targeting (analyst versus senior hire that will be on sparkspread ) and what type of firm as they each will have their own respective client base

RWR does alot in new grad hiring, so does a uy named Ross & Associates (or something, he's out of the woodlands, texas). your best bet is to rinse your college's grad scheme or campus recruitment.

your best bet is to stay with a good firm or your resume will get blasted across the entire market, which is bad if you come across as desperate and one guy in HR gets your resume from 10 different sources.
