Guide to VC - how to get funded?
Hello,
I have a product/prototype in development right now and a business plan/idea.
I understand the general gist of venture capital, but can anyone give me a link so I may better understand the whole process? And by process I mean everything in between pitching your idea to receiving the investment funds.
Also can anyone tell me more about so-called angel investors? Where can I find these people/firms?
Thanks
In answer to your first question, here's a link with some documents you can buy that may be more informative. http://www.gazhoo.com/search/all.gaz?q=venture+capital&x=0&y=0, specifically the Executive summary sample. I bought a document from this site and it was pretty high quality.
Second question, the Keiretsu Forum is a good start: http://keiretsuforum.com/frontend/index.aspx, they're an association of angel investors.
I like VentureHacks.com. http://venturehacks.com/articles/pitching-hacks-at-stanford

Venture Hacks is the best.
Look up Mark Davis on google, he writes a blog on the process as well.
