Ok I wrote the same post in the Asset Management Forum, but I moved it to here because I thought I could get more responses from this forum.
Does anyone know what I should expect for the 1st round phone interview at Blackstone Alternative Asset Management(BAAM)? Would it be mostly fit questions or should I expect any technicals, market-related questions?
I have only interviewed with BBs so far. I guess I am justly nervous. This is for a SA position, and any help and input will be really appreciated. Thanks!

Well thanks. But investing is a too broad topic. Fortunately I've done mock portfolio managing before, and invested my own money once. Would I need to brush up on that?
And this is a 15 minute short interview. Do I still need to go over all the details of the related technicals?
You need to know your story
You need to know your story and tell it well.
In any interview, you should have research the company (i.e. BAAM), have the knowledge about that asset class. Since you say you are at the Senior Associate level, you've gone though many interviews before, shouldn't be but routine. (What I'm saying you're not a rookie)
