1st Year student in UK applying to Spring Week programmes

Not sure if you were being sarcastic, but thanks for the advice! I really don't think I have very good connections, considering both internships were basically back office internships (I did get the internship at Hedge Fund A through a quid pro quo deal) Do you think I should even list the internship at Hedge fund A, because all I did was write a short report on their database and sit in a few meetings.

I'd like to go into equity research so that I can hopefully parlay that into a job at a hedge fund later down the road.

I wasn't, nobody likes working in banking. You should list everything you've done, even if its not been much.

Despite ER being a normal transition to the buyside, banking, sadly, is the easier route. If I were you I'd look for buyside internships if you want to learn how to invest.
