haha yeah, its not like NYC-based firms automatically give their analysts better bonuses. Believe it or not, bonuses are still tied to firm performance.

Just for comparison, what were 1st year S&T bonuses like in 2008? 15k-20k stub (or 30k-40k annualized) sounds pretty decent, given that 1st years aren't doing any actual trading...

At the top of the boom, top bucket was around 70-80k$ bonus for full year bonus...
Some guys even got 90k$...
