Advice for a first year?
So I'm a first year student in Canada, hoping to transfer to the U.S. next year. I do know that GPA is #1 priority for me this year, but I doubt that studying will take up all of my time. Thus I'm currently trying to figure out what else to focus on throughout the year, to make me as competitive as possible for getting an internship during the summer.
Since it's too early to start stuff like the CFA, I was looking into the Claritas Investment Certificate; do you guys think its worth it? Or should I just be spending that extra time with clubs (which I still plan to do), and maybe learning financial modeling, etc. Any suggestions on things that would definitely help in building a strong resume?
Bottom line is that I want to do all that I can to stay ahead of the game. Any advice are welcome!
Thanks.
