Akuna Capital - Opinions

I've recently received an offer from Akuna Capital, and was wondering if people had any opinions on this prop shop? Is this a reputable shop, have there been horror stories from this shop, etc?

Compensation (base salary) is on-par with many of the top firms (such as Optiver, Jane Street, etc), but having not much information about this field as I don't have a Fin-Eng background, am worried if this is a good company.

Also, do companies like these expect new, inexperienced hires to turn a profit for them in a very short amount of time, or is there still a good amount of leash?

I interned there previously and loved it. They have grown steadily and from what I heard/saw so did all the benefits/compensation offered to FT. This firm is definitely different in terms of rewarding talent and not getting bogged down by typical corporate bs. Akuna more than any of the other firms out there, takes the time to actually train their new hires. I saw a few JTs start while I was there and they had the same training we did as interns but over a longer period of time.

Previous head of trading of Optiver founded Akuna. Strong in index options but not sure on other products. Def a smaller shop than Optiver, SIG, DRW, etc, which means you could get more responsibility if you are good. I also heard that they are using their profit pool to hire good devs so the actual bonus right now is not that big, but someone please confirm this.
