Aronson Capital Partners: culture, deal flow, etc?

Hi guys,

Has anyone heard of this company? They are a boutique investment bank out of DC that focuses on the Aerospace, Defense, and Government Services industry. A buddy of mine has an interview with them in a couple of weeks for an Analyst position.

I would appreciate if anyone had any insights into this company, culture, deal flow, etc. Would this be a good company to break into investment banking?

Don't know anything about them but based off their website it doesn't look like their deal flow is particularly strong (albeit maybe they work on super secret deals)... Additionally they have 8 employees listed on LinkedIn with a good amount of partner/MD level folks, only two associates, and no analysts... High potential for sweatshop conditions but who knows.

Would agree with this. Never heard of them during a few year stint in DC. Deal flow looks small and average, at best, given the amount of senior guys.

I interviewed there for a spring internship and made it down to the final two, but lost out to someone who had more prior experience. This was the first time they had ever taken on a formal intern, and I don't know what they plan on doing going forward. Firm is very small, only 5 guys, and deal flow seems about average. The culture seemed excellent though, very laid back. Definitely a solid place for a freshman/sophomore internship. Good luck in your search.
