I think it comes down to what you want to do post-MBA. You're in a unique situation and there's some serious money on the line. If you want to do consulting because it will make you happier and you find it more interesting, I would continue to pursue this McKinsey opportunity and maybe even apply for some of the other MBB programs if they have one. You could also take the Barclay's pre-MBA, maintain your contacts at McKinsey, and if you hate it this summer then go hardcore into MBB recruiting in the fall.
