Already? Did you just submit your app or have someone push your resume? Or is this for the accelerated recruiting?
I had someone push my resume. Not really sure if it is for accelerated recruiting, I justhad my resume sent to HR late last week and they contacted me last night to set up an interview early this week.
Wow, best of luck. I'm going to send my resume to my contact tomorrow so I'll update you guys soon. This seems pretty non-structured.
Which location is this for?
New York
pm me
OP; did you also have to apply through BAML's online application, or did you literally just have someone push your resume through?
Pretty sure I applied online. I'm assuming once I had a referral from a senior banker they scheduled me for an interview.
I have a first-round interview tomorrow, as well, for Houston in the Global Energy & Power group. Applied through my university's career site. Contacted a few days after I submitted my resume. No word on anyone else getting contacted. Anyone else with experience at the Houston office?
.
Did you have only one senior banker pushing your resume or you had multiple bankers pushing it? Thanks!

Hey, i have a first round telephone interview with BAML IB summer intern coming up. Does anyone interview for this position before? What are some typical questions asked? Thanks!!
pm me
ya same here...does anyone have any info?
Did anyone hear back from them yet? If so, can you please tell me what were some of the interview questions that the interviewer asked you? Thanks!
Really standard. Valuation questions and walk me through your resume. Got the invite back.
To what depth does the valuation go into? Would he/she ask you some specific ideas??
I was pretty thorough in my explanations, so he didn't really prod too much with extra questions. Simple questions followed then it turned into a conversation about my resume and stuff. If you have interviewed successfully before this shouldn't be a problem.
I can confirm whats pretty much already been stated.
Not too in-depth on technicals. I think the hardest question I got was if accounts receivables go up how does that affect your FCF. So yah, not too bad. Spent most of the time talking about my resume/current events in the market/what I thought the biggest challenge would be as an analyst/etc.
Increase in Acct Receivable decrease FCF?
Yes
Remember in the formula to calculate FCF you need to subtract NWC, which is current asset- current liabilities, since receivable increases, NWC increases and your FCF decreases
any1 confirm please?
First round is mostly a fit interview.
Do not expect anything complicated. Just know your resume and what's going on the markets.
Also, make sure you know about recent deals (especially in the debt markets).
Thanks guys
I spoke with a friend of mine and he said his interview was completely behavioral and was asked to pitch a stock. I guess you should really prepare for everything.
anyone know where I can find the latest deals that NY office worked on? M&A ? thanks
Also had a phone interview last week and was told that we would hear back today (Monday). Haven't gotten any email from BAML, though - have you?
No I haven't heard anything. I sent a follow up thank you and the guy told me that he wasn't sure of the timeline for the early process. Have you heard anything yet?
Coming from a non-target, my approach was to know technicals cold (to a degree at least) and have "my story" solid. I would have some examples in life to pull from for behavioral and when they ask you about why you want to work at [Insert Firms' name], have a solid answer.
Congrats! Anyone here know any info on people who got first round screens for FT?
Anyone have any update on this?
I had a phone interview on 9/30 for the 10/16 superday. Still haven't heard back from them either way.
Was the phone screen super technical? Thanks!
extremely technical.
These October super days for internships or ft?
Gotta be for SA
How was the phone screen? I have one coming up on Tuesday.
How was the phone screen experience (for non target)? Decent fit/technical mix or most technical? Thanks!
First round questions are going to be fit. So know your resume well and prepare polished answers. Best of luck
Are you talking about target school first rounds?
