Best book on bonds?
Hi all,
I've been in the markets for a few years, but more focused on equity in both developed and emerging markets. Looking for a single volume that will help round me out on fixed income. Something like what Natenberg's book is on options, only for the fixed income space. I'm studying for CFA level II and have obviously been exposed to bond stuff before, but looking for something I can get off the shelf from Amazon that is a nice way to round out my knowledge and put to work immediately.
Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance!
This is the one I read, found it very helpful..

I can vouch for this book. Very good, and id put it ahead of Fabozzi.
Fabozzi's handbook is more an encyclopedia to reference.
Books about Bonds/public finance (Originally Posted: 11/06/2010)
Hello folks,
Any good books about bonds, public finance or munis?
Lebenthal on Munis, by James Lebenthal, is a good read on munis and public finance. It's also geared towards the financial crisis which makes it particularly relevant. Had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Lebenthal a number of times, great man - his shop and his family's name is synonymous with Munis in New York...
