Better Experience for B-School?
Recently graduated from a top 10 public university majoring in Business; wanted to get into investment banking but couldn't land any gigs.
Currently, I'm working at a technology consulting start-up, but recently have an offer for a financial analyst position at HP.
What experience would look better to a b-school -- financial analyst at top 50 global company or start-up experience?
mm id say the tech c onsulting prolly much more interesting, financial analyst is rather cog-like ;\ ick corp finance. just my two cents though.. i feel like youd learn a lot in the former but the latter carries the brand name with it
I know a guy that worked for HP. He hated it. I wouldn't do it, I hear its rather mundane and monotonous. Stay with the startup
What are your duties at the start-up and how are you likely it so far? Also, what are your future career goals?
Regards
I'm working at a high profile start up and love the amount of responsibility I have for a 23 y/o who really doesn't know anything. I've been here 15 months, but that might be equivalent to 2.5 years experience at your standard corporate shop.
I'd stay with the start up.
