Call with Sr.Associate on Monday - prep like an interview?

I've been reaching out to alum all over the place asking if they could speak and discuss their career paths and offer advice etc. and a sr.associate from an elite boutique (LAZ/EVR/Centerview) responded today and said he could talk on Monday.

He also said to send him my resume in advance so what should I be expecting? any advice is appreciated! Thanks

Okay, why does everyone on here stress prepping so much? I mean, yeah prep a little, but for my PE internship and for whenever I've talked with management of i-banks, everyone just seems to like a confident person who they can talk to without you getting all nervous simply because they're a vp, md, or whatever. I got my internship because they thought I was friendly and down-to-earth (and also was prepared for the internship).

Please say I don't actually have to point out what's going on here.

For some reason, there are 1-2 threads exactly like this that pop up daily. Folks, you do realize that it's mid-September, right? If you have a call with someone at a bank, they're not going to dance around the question and wait for you to get ready to take part in recruitment because we're already in the middle of it.

Of course you should be preparing as if it were an "interview". Every meeting is an interview. How is this even a question?

I like your Ike quote.
