Career Counselor Recommendation?

Anyone know a good career counselor in NYC? Looking for someone who knows the ins and outs of the recruiting process to help me plan my career move.

Graduated with a BA from UPenn in 06. Been working in real estate finance, development, acquisitions in mid size NY firms. Feel like I hit a dead end. Looking to transition to something more demanding, global, more team-oriented. Not sure where to start looking or what areas I have a chance of breaking into (IB, Consulting, Research, S&T?)

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Don't want to be a downer, but I think it's a good idea to get career advice from someone about 5-10 years your senior- in the same way that the best interviewing advice on these forums comes from folks who work in industry. This firm seems a little too young.

Just as a quick thought, this lady teaches public speaking/self-marketing at NYU and publishes a lot of career advice. She's probably going to have the background and experience to not only know your next step might be but also suggest it informed by what NYC professionals have done three or four steps after that:

My suggestion is to take a look at some career self-help books, find the author that you think is the most informed and experienced about the areas you might want to go into, and hire him/her. Someone who graduated a year ahead of you and has experience working with a few successful clients might be ok if you are on a budget, but I'd much rather see you working with someone who has a lot more experience.
