DC Advisory vs. Commerzbank, both M&A internship Frankfurt

Hi guys,

What do you think would be the better choice?
Especially when it comes down to getting more internships/graduate programs at BBs/top boutiques?

I'd go with DC Didn't work or interview with either firms but speaking from insights from friends/professionals. DC should also have better connected MDs and directors for future internship referrals

From what I hear DC have a good working environment and atmosphere, particularly for people new to the industry. No working interns until the middle of the night and all through weekends.

If you're interested in sticking with M&A and want to explore future options outside of Frankfurt, go with DC. Commerzbank is scaling back their London M&A right now, which I think is the only place aside from Frankfurt they have a full M&A team. That being said, if you want to stay in Frankfurt long term, then go with Commerzbank.

Remember, once you're inside you're on your own. Oh, you mean I can't count on you? No. Good!

Commerzbank have a strong mittlestand business in Frankfurt and would be the better choice if German M&A is your long term ambition. Ironically, a couple London M&A guys moved to DC last year, make of that what you wish.

"As a hypothetical?" "No. This is real."
