ECM vs VC/GE out of Undergrad

I am based in one of Northeast Asia countries and currently working as SA at one of major local investment bank. (With several IB internship experiences at BB and MM)

Long story short, I guess ECM or VC/GE (does principal investment, also) would be available options (if I still get lucky to get return offer) due to the headcount issue.

As the person who pursued IB => PE career, I wonder which team would be closer to PE in the future. (I am considering MBA, also if it is necessary)
