i know its an old post but i'm curious about this question. for example, would a 2-3 yr stint in EJ's research department (either in fixed income or equity) be enough to lateral to a MM?
I would say don’t do it! Especially if you are going to be in St. Louis office. Go to a city with better networking opportunities.
