Eliminating a year from your life for MBA - Fucked up one year

Hello WSO,

I am currently pursuing a masters in finance program at a regional semi-target and have doen pretty bad (3.1 gpa). However, I did well in undergrad at the same university and was able to land a job in banking at a top top firm. So I was just wondering how I can hide this awful year (happend mostly due to lack of caring and trying to enjoy life before I give it away to banking) from future PE jobs and MBA. I think for PE jobs I can just omit the GPA from the masters program and use the undergrad GPA, but for MBA, I'm sure they want transcripts.

I really regret slacking off this year, but this year has given me much more motivation to stop fucking around and start putting forth my best work whether it is in banking or taking the next couple months to prep hard for the GMAT and acing it.

What do you guys think?

How much harder is graduate work compared to UG?

The difference between successful people and others is largely a habit - a controlled habit of doing every task better, faster and more efficiently.

The work isn't that much harder. I just had no motivation to study which is why I did poorly. But I had a great fucking year, and I feel like its something I needed after working my ass off in undergrad and my future in banking.
