ER Job Accepted, Thanks WSO!

I just wanted to post a thank you to all for how much I've learned just from reading this site. Today, I accepted a job offer with an independent equity research shop covering companies that I'm truly interested in.

Just a little bit of background: After entering college as a film major, I really became interested in finance during my junior year. I graduated and went from a non-target UG to a non-target MBA. The school I chose was a CFA Partner school, and I went for that purpose. I told Career Services early that I wanted to break in to an ER shop, and was met with a willingness to help, but also faced with the realization of how tough the road would be. Found a really solid internship last summer through a cover letter sent to a reputed independent shop, and realized that I knew ER was where I wanted to be for sure. The process was hard again this year in finding a full time gig, but I'm thrilled to have finally broken in.

This website is awesome, and single-handedly helped me grow my technical skills, thought process, etc. Thanks to all the contributors, and a special thanks to the good old BIWS ad at the bottom, which I used and helped me tremendously.

Congrats, phenomenal determination setting your sights on something you wanted and sticking with it through that many years of school. What industry/companies are you covering?

I am permanently behind on PMs, it's not personal.

Definitely would appreciate any insight into the ER world, congratulations man, I'm really jealous right now!
