Try SpareRoom.co.uk. Some really good stuff on there. If you're at JPM I'd recommend Westferry / Blackwall / Isle of Dogs areas. Very new accommodation, reasonable priced and great transport links to the Wharf and to Bank for the rest of London. You could also try areas like Rotherhithe, Canada Water, London Bridge or a bit further north to Stratford if you're feeling a bit braver and want better value. Expect to pay something in the region of £200/w for a long term let and a lot more for a short-term let.
