Follow-up Regarding Phone Interview Scheduling
I applied to Optiver online 2 and a half weeks ago. I passed their math test around that time. I provided my availability (a list of dates and times) for the interview. No response so far as of today (9/25) about the phone interview.
A week after their email [this past Friday], I followed up, calling the recruiter (who did not pick up) and left a voicemail. What's my next option here? Wait?
Call again.
Monday?
When do I follow up after I was told I would be scheduled an interview? (Originally Posted: 03/21/2013)
The firm I applied to emailed me trying to schedule an interview, and I told them I am looking for a different role. So she said they can schedule an interview for that role instead and forwarded me to her colleague and told me that her colleague will schedule the interview with me.
Today is Thursday. This was on Tuesday. Should I email that colleague today to follow up?
Also do I address her with her first name? Such as Dear First? I always found Dear Ms. First Last format so awkward. The person who forwarded me used her first name, and also signed off with first name herself.
Thanks
Why wait? Do it as soon as possible. Always go with "Dear Ms. XXXX,"
I think I worry about being annoying more than I should. I emailed her. Thanks.
So she signs off her email with her first name, do I address her with her first name now?
No matter who I'm emailing, I usually start off my emails with: "Hi FirstName,". "Dear Mr./Ms...." seems way too formal, at least to me.
How would you want to be addressed? Remember, these people put their pants on one leg at a time, just like you and me.
I jump into mine.
