GMAT for Full Time Recruiting

How big of a bump would the GMAT be for full time recruiting for IBD/S&T if I scored over 700? 750?

I know recruiting is getting underway soon, and I've been studying for a little while now. However, I'm not sure if I should take it in two weeks (which would be useful for recruiting) or in a month or two (which would be right in the middle of the season and if I scored well might be too little too late).

My profile:

3.75 from semi-target (no OCR, lots of street alum) I have connections at a lot of the banks in IBD or S&T (different people at different banks) Spent 15 months working in the BO for a BB (including this summer and last summer)

Basically, I do well at a school that isn't a target, and worked at a BB in an area that isn't exactly banking, but both are 'good enough' for me to get my foot in the door somewhere for an interview. Would scoring a 700 or above SIGNIFICANTLY increase my chances of landing an interview?

Thanks for the help.
