Goldman Sachs Background Check
Hi guys,
I just got accepted to Goldman Sachs Spring Week for this year. Now they told me they want me to send them my "5 years' employment history". What does that excately mean?
Is it only internships (full time) or do I have to list every little thing where I learned money (part time work, small internships). How strong will they check because getting a proov for every little thing would be very very much work. Do they want a contact person or how can they check a internship that was not payed...
Btw: I have not recieved the full documents where I have to fill the information in.
Could anyone with IB experience post whats going to happen? Or do they just check whether I have a criminal past...
Thanks a lot for your help.

This is for both firm
This is for both firm purposes and for self-reg org FINRA. If you are going to be employed by a FINRA regulated firm (i.e. registered broker-dealer in this case), you need to give employment / activity history for reg purposes. The BG check will be fairly through, but not a killer unless you outright lie. You should find contact for as much activity as possible to help move things along.
As for a lot of work - welcome to banking - get used to having to dig for details - being unwilling to do so because its tough will automatically put you at a disadvantage.
