Goldman Sachs (+ other bulge bracket banks) Analyst programs
Hello all,
This fall I will be entering into my senior year of college. I am a finance major, have a 3.9 gpa, and attend a school that I would basically consider a target school. This summer I am interning with a private equity firm.
When interviews begin this fall, do you think I would have any chance at securing a full time analyst position for the following year or must all Goldman Sachs (and other bulge bracket banks) analysts must start in the intern program?
Thank you for your insights!
Most groups will have openings at the end of the summer. Very few teams have 100% retention, and even those that do have all interns returning will often hire additional analysts in anticipation of increased dealflow, etc.
You should be sure to network this summer and try to secure interviews for FT analyst positions by September/October at the latest.
