Goldman's Waiting List

I went on an interview at Goldman over a couple weeks ago and haven't heard back whether I advanced to the next round (due to add'l candidate interviews). I'm not even sure if ppl are actually interviewing or if they don't want to hire anyone right now.

Has anyone waited over month to see if they advanced to the next round at GS? Does GS have waiting lists?

If this is for undergrad, I waited almost a month as well - I emailed them yesterday to find out what the timeline was for future interviews and I got a rejection call a few hours later. I think they're basically done with interviewing...

I talked to my recruiter this morning and they told me I would hear back within a week. I expect a rejection call very soon

Assuming this is for SA, pretty much all of the BBs are done recruiting now. If you haven't received a superday by now, it's safe to assume that it's a no-go.

Anyone hear back yet? I have a friend who I met at superday and we both have been on hold for a month haha

BB processes are pretty much over. You may never hear back at all, that's not uncommon for these processes. Safe to assume that it's a no, though.

True. Idk why HR calls me every week to tell me I'm on hold still. Like why not just reject me?

WeGoHam1. I'm sorry bro but I really think you need to move on. There's no point in dwelling on being waitlisted, you really should be actively looking for other opportunities so that you don't end up empty handed for the summer. If you get it, great - if not, you'll still have other opportunities. Making post after post about your waitlist isn't going to help you get the offer. There's nothing you can do at this point except wait.

I have 3 interviews tomorrow with F500 companies. I don't think I'm dwelling too much....

Also the reason why HR calls you ever week to tell you you're still on hold is to tell you just that - that they're still considering candidates and that you're still on the goddamn waitlist.

Someone is a little angry.... Did you just get rejected from a BB today or what? What's your deal?

No I'm not angry, just tired of seeing all your stupid posts about GS IMD and being waitlisted (seriously though, look at your post history - 80% of your posts are asking the same questions about GS IMD/waitlists) Pretty sure I speak for everyone on this forum when I say that you need to calm your boner for GS IMD and start looking for different opportunities - that's just the harsh truth.

I would consider following up with the guy who specifically said he was pushing for you. Mention how you want to reaffirm your unqualified commitment to this job, how you will ensure that GS doesn't regret it, etc. Stay respectful.

Edit: I wrote this with the assumption that you haven't emailed him recently. If this is not the case, other considerations are in play.
