Does anyone know anything about these hedge funds? I’m trying to get interviews with them, but am having trouble finding any information about them, beyond the minimal amount of information on their websites.
Greenlight Capital
Carlson Capital
Perry Capital
Thanks in advance!

They are all quite well
They are all quite well known, use the Google. You do realize that Carlson is in Dallas?
David Einhorn, the founder of
David Einhorn, the founder of Greenlight Capital, has written some books.

1 book to be exact, regarding the Allied Capital fiasco. His quarterly letters are often leaked to a variety of blogs. He also had an excellent op-ed in the NYT a few weeks ago. But everyone knows about Einhorn, so parroting him will not carry much sway with respect to landing an interview.
He is quite brilliant but a bit startling the first time you hear him speak. Looks like a middle schooler wearing his dad's suit, sounds younger than that.

You sound a little green to be making the jump to a major hedge fund. Should probably start at an i-bank first. Here is a site that covers Greenlight Capital and Perry Capital. Good luck

perry pretty much strictly
perry pretty much strictly hires guys out of BB's, prob 90% from GS.
i don't think anyone's gotten an interview there by cold-calling. if you are at these firms, use a headhunter (they all use them). if you're not, don't bother, go after some smaller funds.
why do you want to work at a place you don't know anything about?
the desire ppl have to work in hedge funds, without knowing anything about them really baffles me. how do you think you'll be able to add value if you don't even know what they do? seriously, go to a bank.
