Wondering the same - that’s another level first year out of college in Atlanta.

Main MD at the office is a rainmaker who was poached from RJ. Given my knowledge about the Chicago office and a few of the people at the Atlanta office, I would expect very long hours but good culture.

Base is same as NY (now 110,000), but unsure of bonus. Since Chicago office is doing gangbusters, I imagine bonuses are strong, as that is how Gugg seems to roll. .

Thanks for the input guys. I was already a fan of the location, but it seems like a great office. Hopefully I can get in. Thanks again

Extremely strong group. They’re only ~18mos established, just moved into a bigger office and already want to knock down walls to expand headcount. They dominate the MM Saas and IT Services space with a Rainmaker poached from RJ and also work across 3 Rainmakers in Chicago poached from Blair. Part of their PEAG team. Culture seems great, people are down to earth and normal.

Note to all - feel free to NOT believe the above and go try your hand at William Blair ATL, where you get paid a 60k ASO 1/2/3 bonus before getting laid off. Don’t think Houlihan is much better. Until Centerview/PJT/Evercore come to Atlanta (which seems unlikely to ever happen) Guggenheim is the best money/experience combo in town.

Yeah it really sucks being able to buy a 4br / 4ba 5k square foot home on an acre and 5-10 minute drive from the office for $1.5M. Would rather have a 2b/2ba 850 sq ft shoe box in the upper east side, $70k per year pre-school, and pay nearly triple the state and local taxes for a street lined with trash that’s cold for 8 months of the year.

Sounds like someone couldn’t get a job in a real banking city… like Detroit
