Highbridge Capital

Just wondering if anyone has any inside info on this firm? I know that had a pretty rough 2008 with losses and redemptions but had a pretty solid 2009. Have they pretty much rebounded? What is the comp/culture like?

Is Highbridge that HF, run by that lunatic, that is always getting destroyed on dealbreaker?

If so, the money is probably really good but the culture is something from inside the Willy Wonka factory.

 

Why are you saying it is a wierd culture manifesto. Mr. Dalio believes that if you follow a set of principles in life (or business) you will get specific results.... Not so far off of the concept of religion, makes sense that Mr. Dalio is Jewish...

 

It's definitely way downhill since 2010 when this q was posted. The L/S product is only a few billion (def 3, not sure if up to 2) now and run in a multi-manager style. There've been some important departures in recent years but they're trying to rebuild by hiring some new teams.

Would consider it an okay but not elite destination.
