I want to be on the other end of the phone!

I have a bachelors degree in communication, currently work for a financial services firm that handles high net worth clients. I am a business development associate. I am great at calling prospects and turning them into qualified appointments, some have become great clients of the producer I work for. I probably call some of the people on this forum every day!

I am working here to learn more about the entire world of finance. My current position will bring me to a choice I will have to make one day. Become a financial planner myself and get Series 7, 63, etc. or find a position at a IB, PE or HF in NYC and try to work my way up inside a place. Both are still appealing to me. I would be able to financially support my family with either route just as well from what I have researched.

Any ideas on the future prospects for a business development associate in Wall Street?

If you can bring in money, you'll be worth your weight in gold ANYWHERE on the street

Heck you could probably switch to being a realtor and do very well, if you can bring in money.
