IB Anaylst/Corporate Finance/Commerical Banking Resume Help
Hi,
As you can see I do not have any direct experience with investment banking. I had to work through college since I didn't qualify for financial aid. So I wasn't able to do any internships as a result of my working almost full time to pay rent.
I don't really know what to insert in "Technical Skills," since it specifically says not to put in MS Office/Excel. So not sure if I should just completely take it off my resume?
Also I am sure it's a long shot to land a full time analyst position without any solid internships and graduating from a non-target.
From what I read on this forum realistically my best shot to break into I-Banking would be to do either corporate finance or commercial banking and then get into a top MBA program.
So any input and feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Who says specifically to take off Excel? Sure, if you know very very basic excel it may not make sense to include it. However, if you are highly experienced, know functions, shortcuts, VBA, etc, I think that should be a selling point to employers. It would be for me if I was looking to hire an analyst...
clientele* not cliental. use past tense unless its for something you're currently doing. If not, at least be consistent. in your 2nd job you go from "performed" to "working" to "gathers"

Any other suggestions? Your help will be greatly appreciated.
You don't really need to have Business Comm in your coursework. Unless I missed something, there is a lack of "Leadership Experience." You should put months with your years. If you are a US national, having fluent in English is pointless. What level of proficiency in Spanish? Basic/Conversational/Fluent/Native?
