Interview: Told to dress casual
PM seemed laid back. Said to dress casual and meet at a bertuccis to talk over a meal.
I'm thinking dress shirt + khakis/chinos and no tie. Thoughts?

Good idea. Sounds like the right attire to me.
I would add a navy blue blazer.

Casual Dress for interview? (Originally Posted: 08/12/2013)
I have a interview coming up and interviewer mentioned to come in casual dressed. What should I actually wear in this case? Just a dress shirt, no tie? Or dress shirt and keep tie?
Why don't you just wear what he told you to wear? Am I missing something?
This is a troll question
It is a trick, suit up or you will be effed. Same thing happened to a buddy of mine for his GS superday
Someone at Goldman Sachs convinced your friend that they wear golf shirts to work?
Don't wear a gold shirt, polo or a tie. Khakis and a nice shirt with a blazer would do.
Strut into the room completely naked, tell your interviewer that you thought the instruction was to come in casually undressed. Fortune favors the bold. Easy offer.
Seriously though, seeing that you've been posting for a while you should know better.
Casual Attire for Interview (Originally Posted: 02/02/2011)
I am currently in London and am flying out to the States next week for a final round interview. In one of the emails it said the attire for interview is casual attire, suits are not neccessary.
I was thinking of wearing my grey suit and light blue shirt with no tie. The way I see it is I can always take the jacket off if I seem out of place. What would you wear in this scenario? I honestly would feel a bit odd wearing what I think of as "casual".
On the company website it looks like half the people are wearing long-sleeve button ups and the other half are wearing polo style shirts... they are even allowed to wear shorts during the summer. I don't want to seem like a bad fit for overdressing but at the same time I want to look nice.
Sorry if this seems like a dumb question.
You may not want to do this but I wore khakis, blazer, white shirt and a light blue paisley tie. The ladies loved it and the interviewer complimented my dress. If it explicitly said 'suits are not necessary' then don't wear a suit unless you think others will ignore that as well.
Khakis, a nice button-down shirt, and a cashmere sweater (no jacket, no tie).
If (judging from the web site), some of them wear polos to work, then that's what I'd wear since it's not too casual, but definitely not too dressy.
.
If you're overdressed, you can always take off the tie and jacket, but there's no way to compensate if you're under dressed.
DE Shaw or Ren Tech?
neither...
Interview Dress Code - Business casual (Originally Posted: 08/18/2008)
I have a PE interview later this week. I was originally planning on wearing a suit and tie like I normally would, but I just received the agenda which clearly stated the dress is "business casual."
What's the safest route to go in this situation: 1) Follow the instructions on the agenda and wear business casual, or 2) Show up wearing a suit and tie, and remove it after I arrive, if necessary?
Tough call. I think you are fine either way. If you wear business casual you are following the directions. If you wear the suit that might indicate you are taking the interview more seriously. I would probably just wear bus casual though. You could probably throw on a tie with a dress shirt and still meet the business casual criteria, although the people working there probably are not wearing ties.

Agreed...this is tough and not standard. You might want to wear a tie with no suit jacket, or a suit with no tie...both seem appropriate for business casual without taking the risk of not fitting in.
yup
