Investment Mix
There are mixed reviews on this so I’m curious as to the opinions on this forum for ideal asset mix to achieve the best possible long term rate of return. As an example, let’s take an investor who is 30 years old, does not plan to retire for at least 25 more years, and is willing to take a reasonable amount of risk to reach the best possible annual return until he begins withdrawals at age 55.
What percentage would you allocate to stocks and bonds at his current age? How about growth and value stocks? Large, Mid, Small-cap stocks? Domestic and International? Here’s mine:
Stocks: 100%
Bonds: 0%
Growth: 65%
Value: 35%
Large-Cap: 40%
Mid-Cap: 35%
Small-Cap: 25%
Domestic: 70%
International: 30%
