Is it possible to do houston banking from Tulane?

So I can pretty much get a garaunteed acceptance to Tulane and it may be the best I can hope for at the moment. I might be able to get into SMU but it's a bit of a gamble.

Could I get a job in energy banking in Houston from Tulane if I work hard? Or would it be better if I went to Tulane for a year and then transferred into SMU.

Transferring or getting into UT-Austin is unlikely to impossible.

Yes its possible. I go to Trinity in San Antonio which is a complete non-target. I worked hard, networked, lucked into a fall internship with a local boutique that does tiny deals ($50mm) and got final rounds from 8 banks for energy IBD in Houston. I accepted with a top BB. Work hard and keep that goal at the back of your mind and anything is possible. Just make sure you have a stellar GPA.

Would you guys say that it would be worth it to transfer to SMU or stay at Tulane?

Not in college yet btw.

If you expect a dog to bite you you'll be happy when al they do is pee on your shoes.
