Ivy Student Waiting for Response from an MBB??
Had my final round 11 days ago. Still haven't received a rejection email. Some other students heard back that they received an offer or were wait listed. Did the firm forget about me or is this a sign of something else?
Most likely some unusual circumstance has come up and they're still deciding. I think it wouldn't be inappropriate to reach out and ask for a status update.
Who do I contact? HR or the school's lead recruiter (a consultant).
Who do you have a better relationship with?
.
Sorry to hijack thread, but has anyone heard of an MBB making an offer (BA/AC level) that wasn't same-day? I'm also an Ivy undergrad, final round was two days ago, on Friday, so I'm thinking that the only possibilities at this point are: (1) I was rejected, or (2) I'm on some kind of waiting list. Is this true?
I haven't heard of a same day full time offer, typically only internship offers are same day.
That's not true. Most full-time offers are same day, same as internship. You wait longer if you're on the border.
You're likely on a waitlist. Our best practice was to make same-day offers, or if schedules didn't allow, to circle up over the weekend to make an offer on Monday (assuming interview was Friday).
Most MBB full-time offers do go out the same day, however, I actually got my offer on the following Monday night (after interviewing on Friday).
I also had a final round with MBB last friday and haven't heard back from them yet. Probably won't get it.
They usually give offers within 48 hours. Most often within 24 hours.
Did you interview for the same office as your friends who learned their fate? Decisions are typically office-specific. I've usuually seen same-day or early-next-day offers w/ late-next-day day dings if your school is a primary feeder for that office (think HBS/Wharton for NY or Kellogg/Booth for CHI on the MBA side). If you're one of a few interviewing for an out-of-area office, the decisions calendar is likely based on their core schools.
Target student interviewed at an MBB final round on Monday waiting to hear back. Pretty nerve wracking. They said we'd hear back within one week, but I'm thinking that having not heard back by now is not that good of a sign. :( Although the partner that interviewed me told me to get in touch in case I received an exploding offer or similar. Not sure whether that's a positive sign or just a standard way to close an interview.
Also waiting on decision from MBB final round this Monday.
I am at a non-target. Does anyone know how this impacts me and when I should hear back?
Also had an MBB final round this Monday. I knew from before one of the other people who also a final round that same day for that office, and they haven't heard back either. Maybe they haven't told anyone yet?
I also know someone from final rounds on Monday that hasn't heard back either. What's the chances we are all talking about the same interview haha
