JP Morgan Investment Management SA 2012
Hey guys, so I got an e-mail today letting me know that I got a phone interview for the JPM IM SA program (finally!). I was just wondering if anyone else has been through this before? Do you have any tips? What kind of questions do they usually ask, what should I know, what should I be prepared for?

Idk about JPM, but I interviewed with BofA/ML's FoF program. I can't imagine they are too differently. The guy was not enthusiastic, asked predictable, fairly wimpy questions. Maybe that's just BAML, but it was not a super experience.
Interview went really well, really chill. Definitely a fit interview. Pretty sure I got to the next round of interviews now :)
what group was your interviewer from?
i had a phone interview for the same.... I had a guy from Toronto call me for the interview.. as far as i can say it went well...
Hear back yet? My interviewer said they were going to recommend me to the next round but I haven't got an official e-mail or anything yet. My call was from NYC though.
Nope they havent heard back yet.. but i really hope they do though... i heard the timeline is 1 to 1.5 weeks for hearing back..

Had phone interviews too for NY and SF...one went well and they said they'd be in contact for superday within a few week but yeah I haven't heard anything yet either

nothing here.. i heard somewhere they usually get around 4000 applications for this so they might just have a lot of phone screens wrapping up. what groups did you guys want?
I went for institutional and fixed income...
how many phone screenings do they do?
no idea but even if it was a lot less than 4000 that's still a ton of time spent calling candidates so i don't think we should worry for now
also i'm sure some people hear before others based on the groups they selected
RE and FI
Institutional Sales and FI for me... looks like Fixed Income is going to be competitive... and that's the group my interviewer is recommending me for, time to do my homework!
