J.P. Morgan Launching Leaders Scholarship Interview

I have an upcoming phone interview for the launching leaders scholarship. Could someone who's gone through the process tell me what the phone interview is like/some questions that are asked?

Any help is appreciated

Anyone else apply to this year's program?

Either you're slingin' crack-rock, or you've got a wicked jump shot. There's no honor in taking that after school job at Mickey Dee's, honor's in the dollar, kid.

I also applied for this year's program. I saw the response to your other post about the timeline. The end of October is quickly approaching. Have you heard back yet? I have yet to receive any further communication.

Hey just saw your post. No I haven't heard anything, have you? This hurricane could have also delayed it. Curious to see whether they contact us the end of this week or beginning of next week

I haven't heard back yet. Congrats on the seo interview.

It seems like we should hear back soon. I got selected for an interview with Citi next week. Originally, it was this week but it got rescheduled because of the storm.

I received a phone interview for launching leaders. I hope to hear good new from you as well!

Congrats! Making it to phone interviews seems to be the hardest step. I haven't heard about phone interviews, but I also haven't been rejected. I guess we'll see if they reach out by tomorrow. When did you hear?

Around 11 this morning.

Why do you say getting the phone interview is the easiest part? Is the acceptance rate diff than regular programs if you get past the phone interview?

*hardest. Does launching leaders accept more candidates after than phone interviews than the vanilla IB?

I don't know acceptances for specific programs. It's more of an opinion that a fact. In any application process, getting the first interview is usually the hardest part. You have hundreds of applications applying online and the recruiters have to filter for the candidates they are interested in. Once you get a phone interview, you know they are at interested based on your credentials and have the opportunity to showcase yourself not just on paper.

Gotcha. Just an FYI , I did follow up last week with a recruiter reiterating my interest. I didn't get a response as I usually did, but that MIGHT have helped... Or done nothing at all. On another thread a couple different wso users got into the same program last year. Hopefully we can get it this year.. Goodluck

Did they reach out to you previously to set up a phone interview or did they just call this morning? Waiting to hear back as well. Congratulations. Best of luck to you

Thanks. Nope, just an email this morning.

Thats really impressive. Congrats again. Hopefully we will all get emails soon to schedule interviews! I believe they said we would be notified the 16th of November whether we would be moving on to the next stage or not.

I did well on the phone interview today also. I was surprised how basic the technicals q's were. How long after your phone did you get the superday email?
