Leveraging a spring internship for the summer - resume question

Hey guys,

Just got a general financial analyst internship for the Spring that ends in May. Great thing about this job is I gain a lot of exposure to valuation, cash flow modeling, and industry comps. I'm also going to get to work with equity and debt financing and preparing Offering Memorandums.

I am wondering if I can put the above in my resume. I have not actually started on the work, mostly doing baby stuff and training for the next 2 weeks. However, everything I just described above is in the official job description. Is it ethical to write this stuff into my resume before I started real work on it? I want to leverage what I learn from this internship into more interviews for summer positions.

What do you think? Just want to make sure I am acting ethically in this process.

Also do you write a "present" job in past or present tense? Found a lot of controversy on this on the web.

I was in the same situation. A lot of bankers told me not to write it in your resume until you have actually started your job, and figure out what your responsibilities exactly are. You should write it in your cover letter though.
