Hey guys, first post
I need some help deciding on whether a trading career is for me or not. I have been looking at shops and I can't tell whether they are commission/draw based or if they start you with some sort of salary.
I am fast paced and energetic, which is a plus, but I have relatively poor math skills (calculus, trigonometry, and the like). What shops should I be looking at?
Background: 2.8 GPA from top 40 school, Series 6 and 63 license.
Lol at thinking you need any math skills to be a successful trader.
You do need to be good with numbers, not an absolute beast, but you need to know your numbers fast.

Go head and learn your arithmetic and algorithms. I guarantee you I make double your returns and can barely do division.

Thank you so much for the input guys, really means a lot to me. What should I be looking for regarding a trading job (salary, benefits, firm type.) I'm seriously clueless on what to look for and how to weed out a "scam" firm from a good one which really trains you.
before you ask those questions you'll probably want to know more about yourself, what types of products are you interested in, what do you know how to trade, what time frame suits your personality best, what style of trading are you looking to do, etc.
if you can't really answer those about yourself, then finding out about firms is similar to wanting to race, but you not knowing if you want to race f1, horse, bike, drag, etc...
Why do you people want trading jobs? If your a good trader you can make more than enough money with your own capital. I started with 5k.

I'll be honest here: I know almost nothing about the fundamentals of trading. I understand that you can trade forex, commodities, stock, and you can be a prop trader or trade with your own portfolio. I have no problem trading forex with my own portfolio after my day job ends. However, trading is complicated and I need to be taught! Is there a way that I can learn to trade on my own before applying to trading jobs? Thanks
