IlliniProgrammerComp is strictly confidential at nearly all Wall Street firms. Most firms also prohibit you from communicating OTHER firms' comp. Sorry to be a buzzkill, but can we lock and/or delete this thread before some 1st year analyst accidentally gets himself fired? This is the one thing banks have a hard and fast rule on if they catch you.

How come we have all those threads about bonuses then? Isn't that kinda the same thing? (I don't mean to question you, you obviously are a veteran on the forum, but I'm curious as to what the difference is.)

I saw this early this morning elsewhere...the one thing giving me pause is the origin (noted news source The Australian)...deal journal, deal book etc had to have seen this and chose to pass on it for some reason...veracity being the likely reason.

Not saying it won't happen (though i doubt it will, especially at the junior levels)...but doubt it has been confirmed enough to warrant appearance in a legit news source.
