Ok, not to beat a dead horse, but...

So, with the leftover Lehman employees bailing out their office windows and BofA and Merrill folks wondering what the future holds for them, let's weigh in on the disaster that is Wall Street today. What is everyone thinking this morning?

Hello, I'm am a former
Hello, I'm am a former Lehman Brothers employee. I'm actually not surprised that Lehman collapsed. I knew that it was going through hell for quite a while. In fact, no one at the Times Square office was shocked. Those who were "shocked" were in denial, or stupid. I can give a first hand account of that last few months. I work in IB. In the last months, alot of us were laid back, relaxed, and chilled, there were good natured pranks all around, not typical IBanking behavior. People weren't concerned with work because we knew it was over. For even the most in-denial people, the 90%+ drop in stock and cutting of analysts solidified the argument of collapse. No matter what people say, Lehman was a great bank with great people. My best wishes are with ex-Lehman-ers, and employees of Merrill Lynch As for me, I'm moving onto my next journey, The Blackstone Group in NY. I don't know what could happen next Merrill's been auctioned of to Band of America. Who's next to collapse?
