Online applications for Graduate Programs

I am curious to know how folks feel about the online graduate program applications (not including the CV drops on campus). I rarely, if ever, have received a call after submitting a general, online application. how lucky have you monkeys? is is it even worth the effort?

Lol. You're trolling right?

That's how I got every single one of my phone interviews, assessment centre days/face to face interviews, graduate job offers, and intern offers this past recruiting season.

Many companies don't take grad applications except through their online processes, and some are electronically configured/set up to automatically contact you and thank you for your application, record receipt, scan your resume and discard it or send you a psychometric test, from which your score decides whether you're in for a phone interview, or out of the process.

You might get to meet them the recruiters on campus or during career fairs, but generally I've found most people in the interview all came via online applications, and many didn't know that much about the companies they had applied for.
